The Network Path target is reachable using ICMP (Ping) but AppNeta Graphs show "Connectivity loss to target" for Capacity and Latency.
- For example, the target is located within "MICROSOFT-CORP-MSN-AS-BLOCK"
Release : SAAS
In the past we've seen similar issues due to Microsoft Azure Firewall policies dropping large amounts of ICMP Traffic. We report connectivity loss when a large amount of our ICMP packets are dropped.
As a workaround for the above it would require whitelisting all inbound ICMP traffic however this may not be possible in all use cases.
Alternatively if the target is in Azure, it should be possible to target either a deployed CMP or one of our GMTs in the same Azure Region to provide roughly equivalent measurements that would be gathered from targeting the specific Azure hosted application.
The full list of GMTs and which Azure Region they are deployed in can be found here: https://techdocs.broadcom.com/us/en/ca-enterprise-software/it-operations-management/appneta/GA/appliance-overview/global-monitoring-targets.html
It can be noted that deploying a CMP in any cloud platform (Azure, AWS, IBM Cloud, etc) using a Docker Supported Operating System can provide roughly equivalent measurements for any desired target.
