The size of the Rally Description box is MASSIVE and I cannot take it back to the normal size - can also occur in any Rich Text field

Issue/Introduction

The size of the Description box is very large and I cannot take it back to the normal size.

Cause

This can happen with any Rich Text Field (RTF) in Rally, usually when a large table is copied into it and the input box is manually resized.

 

The Show All/Show Less button is a toggle between opening the input box to show All and show the custom size of the box that the user has set - not really show "less". The button was labeled as Show Less in the interest of keeping the button text size small.  It was unforeseen that the box would be sized to a very large size where it could not be resized very easily.

Resolution

• If the Show All/Show Less button is not visible at the very bottom right of Description, click on the last line of text and hit Enter, the button should now appear in the bottom right corner of Description (or other RTF).
• Click the Show All button, then manually resize the box to be a little bigger.
• Resize the input box a second time, preferable making it a little smaller.
• This will reset your "custom size". 
• Now when you toggle back & forth by clicking on the Show All/Show Less button, the size is more reasonable.
