CA Identity Governance upgradation is failing with [ERROR] Operation failed with error #20

Issue/Introduction

CA Identity Suite version upgradation from 14.4 GA to version 14.4.2 is failing while populating the Identity Governance database structure on the external database.

 

Environment

Release : 14.3,14.4

Cause

When we compared the JDBC URL between DEV and PROD, We saw the databaseName case mismatch.

In 14.4.2, there is an issue where "databaseName" works but not "DatabaseName".

 

Resolution

workaround:

1. Update the IG jdbc urls in the VAPP UI db configuration page with  "databaseName" instead of "DatabaseName"
2. Once updated, they can start the upgrade.
