Issue/Introduction
What is the behavior from dirscan involving symbolic links?
In the event of dirscan being configured to perform checks (ie. file age) on a symbolic link, does the dirscan probe follow the link to the source object or only return the information for the symlink object itself?
Environment
- UIM Release : any
- Probe: dirscan 3.19+
Resolution
The dirscan probe follows the symbolic link back to the source. It does not report metrics for the link itself.
