PROD AIX server refuses to install apmia agent with (corrupt package) message

Issue/Introduction

Prod AIX server under change control refuses to install apmia agent with message corrupt package.

AMPIACtrl.sh console_stop indicates agent not running

clean_uninstall fails, requiring rm -rf apmia to remove suspect install.

Resolution

After deleting the /etc/apmia.conf from the system, the APMIA was able to install successfully.

and also check and remove symlinks from /etc/rc.d/rc2.d    for AIX
