Issue/Introduction

How to move custom Metric Families (MF) and Vendor Certifications (VC) between systems.

Environment

Release : 21.2, 22.2

Resolution

If you look at the list of Vendor Certifications (VC) and Metric families (MF), Extended or Custom certifications and metric families will be listed as "Factory Extended" or "Custom"

You can export and import them from one system into another using the REST methods outlined here.

You can get the internal names of any: 

Metric Family
Vendor Certification  

You would need to import a custom or extended metric family before importing its related custom VC if both have been customized or extended (such as adding a new metric).
