Issue/Introduction

If an EEM installation fails, then it may be necessary to freshly reinstall EEM

This document will explain what to check to ensure EEM is completely uninstalled

Environment

Release : 17.3

Resolution

1.  Uninstall the EEM product from program and features

2.  Verify that the following folders are removed, if not remove them (paths might be different based on EEM install path selected during install)

Default Paths:
   C:\Program Files\CA\Directory or
   C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\Directory
   C:\Program Files\CA\SC\CAPKI or
   C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CAPKI
   C:\Program Files\CA\SC\EmbeddedEntitlementsManager or
   C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\EmbeddedEntitlementsManager
   C:\Program Files\CA\SC\iTechnology or
   C:\Program Files (x86) (x86)\CA\SC\iTechnology

3.  Delete the following environment variables of CA Directory and CA

iTechnology iGateway
DXHOME
IGW_LOC

4.  Delete the follow registry entries if present:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\<number>\InstallProperties
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\<number>\InstallProperties

5.  Look for iGateway, Embedded Entitlements Manager, Directory, Dxserver, iTechnology in the entire Registry and delete them if any are found
