Issue/Introduction

If an EEM installation fails, then it may be necessary to freshly reinstall EEM

This document will explain what to check to ensure EEM is completely uninstalled

Environment

Release : 17.3

Resolution

-Uninstall the EEM product from program and features
-Verify that the following folders are removed, if not remove them (paths might be different based on EEM install path selected during install)
Default Paths:
   C:\Program Files\CA\Directory or
   C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\Directory
   C:\Program Files\CA\SC\CAPKI or
   C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\CAPKI
   C:\Program Files\CA\SC\EmbeddedEntitlementsManager or
   C:\Program Files (x86)\CA\SC\EmbeddedEntitlementsManager
   C:\Program Files\CA\SC\iTechnology or
   C:\Program Files (x86) (x86)\CA\SC\iTechnology
-Delete the following environment variables of CA Directory and CA
iTechnology iGateway
DXHOME
IGW_LOC
-Delete the follow registry entries if present:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\<number>\InstallProperties
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Installer\UserData\S-1-5-18\Products\<number>\InstallProperties
