APM Agent 23.1 for Websphere java version 1.7_64 initialization fails

Issue/Introduction

We are installing APM agent version 23.1 for WebSphere with Java 1.7_64 on z/OS and the agent is not initializing.

 

The same package was used for WebSphere with Java version 1.8 and the agent started normally.

Environment

Release : 23.1

Resolution

Setting the below property resolved the issue:

agentManager.cipherSuites.1=SSL_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_CBC_SHA,SSL_ECDHE_RSA_WITH_AES_128_GCM_SHA256

This is set in the IntroscopeAgent.profile.  Restart the Agent to ensure the setting gets enabled.
