APM 10.8.1 Metric Tree shows "Webservice at UnknownProtocol"

Issue/Introduction

In APM 10.8.1 environment the Metric Tree shows  

 

Environment

• APM EM 10.8 SP1 
• APM Java JBoss Agent 2023.3.0.4 + JBoss Version 4.5
• CA PM 4.3.5 - configured to start the java JBoss applications

Cause

The problem is related to :

• Defect DE422450, DE425319
• Enhancement# F141062 - Java Agent Unknown Protocol Handling\

Analysis by Development: " URL is like “ldap://eem-server/…”  which currently the agent does not recognize like several others (http/s Apache HTTP Client, Spring, OC4J, OkHttp etc) . Since the agent do not recognize "Unknown" is shown. 

Resolution

• No workaround available
• For an update on F141062 contact Broadcom Support (current ETA 2024 Q4 = ~Nov)
