Issue/Introduction

Cause

Port access is required in order for DLP to function.

Resolution

1- Open the Windows Defender Firewall, Control Panel > System and Security > Windows Defender Firewall

 

2- Click on “Advanced settings” to the left.

 

3-Click on “Inbound Rules” on the left.
4-Click on “New Rule” on the right.

 

5-In the New Inbound Rule Wizard, select “Port”.

 

6-In Protocols and Ports, select “Specific local ports” and add your port number (in this example 1521 is used for Oracle).

 

7-Select “Allow the connection” and then click “Next”.

 

8-Select “Domain”, “Private”, and “Public”, unless you have reason not to.

 

9-Give your new rule a name (in this case Oracle was used), and select “Finish”.

 

10-Verify the rule has been added and is enabled.

 

Common Ports:
Oracle: 1521
Enforce: 443 (Console)
Detection: 8100 (connection to Enforce), 10443 (connection to agents), 1344 (web prevent), 25 or 10025 (email prevent).
