Issue/Introduction

Does the Siteminder Policy Server cache the certificate authority certificates that are stored in the Cert9.db file?

Resolution

The Policy Server does not cache the contents of the cert9.db (or cert8.db in older releases).  The Policy Server reads the file every time it needs to make an outbound LDAPS connection.  This means the Policy Server does not require a restart when this file is updated; the change will take effect when the next outbound LDAPS connection is made.
