GIM20311E and GIM39802E error in SMPE APPLY process

Issue/Introduction

After receiving a hundred PTFs, received the following error in the apply job.

 GIM20311E ** THERE IS A SYNTAX ERROR IN THE CONTROL STATEMENT AT COLUMN 01.
 GIM39802E ** A SYNTAX OR CONSTRUCTION ERROR WAS FOUND IN SYSMOD RO88301 IN THE SMPPTS DATA SET.

Resolution

According to GIM20311E and GIM39802E, those PTF received in the SMPPTS dataset may have invalid data.

Check if PTFs in the DD SMPPTFIN dataset when you set on RECEIVE job have correct syntax.
If PTF data has correct format, check if PTF member in the SMPPTS dataset has valid data.

Recreate DD SMPPTFIN dataset with PTF in correct format, REJECT/RECEIVE and APPLY the PTFs again.
