This document describes how to configure Cynic settings in Email Security cloud.

Cause

Instructions on Configuring Cynic settings.

Resolution

To configure Cynic Settings

1. Select Services > Email Threat Detection and Response > Cynic Settings.
2. On the Cynic Settings tab, check Enable to send attachments to Cynic or uncheck Enable to disable Cynic analysis.
3. Choose a Maximum Hold Time from the dropdown menu. If you select 0, Cynic does an instantaneous scan to detect and block known malicious file attachments, and then the message is delivered immediately.
4. Click Save.
