Discovery Agent fails to discovery devices configured password less (i.e. key based authentication)

Issue/Introduction

I am trying to discover devices using public keys (password less) with the SSH option enabled in Setup Discovery Wizard but devices are not being populated to the OC Inventory

Error in the discovery_agent.log:

Failed to open SSH connection: ip=###.###.###.###, user=<userid>, specified public key file=/public/key: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: Auth fail. 

Environment

UIM 23.4 and prior versions

Resolution

This behavior is expected with UIM 23.4 and prior versions as Password-less/Key File-Based Authentication is not supported,

To add this capability deploy DX UIM 23.4 CU1, See Discover Server and Discovery Agents Support Password-less/Key File-Based Authentication
