New UX business rules over OBS fields

Issue/Introduction

We need to use business rules in new UX over OBS fields. How can I activate OBS fields to user rules?

Steps to create business rule:

• Log into Clarity.
• Click Administration and select Blueprints.
• Select the relevant blueprint to open it and click Edit.
• Navigate to the Rules tab and select New Rule.
• In the New Rule window, enter the name and description of the rule.
• In the Target Object window, select the relevant object.
• In the Rule Type window, select Attribute Update.
• In the Target Attribute drop-down list, select the target attribute.

Cause

For custom object blueprints OBS type attributes are not available for selection under target attribute section in business rules

Resolution

With Clarity v16.1.3 and below you will be able to select only the following type of attributes under target attribute section in business rules.

• Lookups (SVL and Dynamic Lookups including Parameterized Lookups and Static Dependant lookups). Multi-Value Lookups are not supported.
• Boolean
• Date
• String
• Number
• Percent
