CA Service Management - Service Desk Manager

In the NX.ENV file, the variables all start with either:

  • a blank space
  • !
  • @

What is the significance of each of these?

Release : 17.x

This information is actually contained in the NX.ENV file

The @ sign indicates that this variable will supersede any value in the user's environment.

Use the # sign as the comment character.

Disable Options using a ! character.

As for the blank space, it seems that it sets the option if it does not exist.

Additional Information

We do not recommend changing the CA SDM NX.ENV file directly if possible.

It is better to use the Options Manager to add specific options.
