EXAMPLE: SSP-S410 PLATFORM 

 

ONLINE ACTIVATION

Ensure the SSP has Internet connection to the Broadcom domains

SSP-ISG# licensing load id <ssp-serial-number> username <username-email> password <password>

 

OFFLINE ACTIVATION

• Download the SSP platform license with passphrase mypassword

Then from the CLI

• ISG(config-licensing)# view
• ISG# config
• ISG(config)# licensing
• ISG(config-licensing)# inline passphrase <passphrase>
  Enter the license key below and end it with a Ctrl-D
• <Copy your license key from the textfile>
  Ctrl-D

ISG APPLICATIONS LICENSE ACTIVATION ONLINE/OFFLINE

 

#### APP LICENSE VIEW ####

If you’ve successfully deployed a ProxySG app image on the ISG, for license activation you need to follow the documentation. First of all list all the installed apps and check if they have already a license installed via SSH to SSP ISG:

• ISG> enable
• ISG# config t
• ISG (config)# licensing view

 

 

 Remember the label name that you use for the APP deployment and type of product.

 

####  ONLINE ACTIVATION ####

If the SSP ISG Hypervisor has connection the external WAN

#### OFFLINE ACTIVATION / MANUAL ACTIVATION ####

Please download the License for the product. In your situation it is ISG PROXY SN: <your serial number> from the Broadcom Support Portal > My Entitlements > Web Protection Suite > ISG Proxy with created passphrase (ex. mypassword)

Next steps are covering the situation whereas the activation cannot be made automatically if for ex ISG hypervisor is restricted from using external WAN connection.

 

To do the manual activation, please open the downloaded license with Notepad++ and copy the contents of generated license file.

 

Open SSP ISG CLI via SSH and use the following command to install/overwrite the license to ISG PROXY

ISG (config)# licensing inline force label <Label-of-VM> passphrase <passphrase>

ex. licensinginline force label ProxyISG-2024-11-11 passphrase mypassword

Paste the content of license

Click CTRL+D

License should be installed for the app and it should have an ID with serial number:

ISG (config)# licensing view

 

Restart ISG SSP

ISG# restart

 

Then recheck the license on your Proxy APP just after restart of ISG SSP
