Unable to import complete active directory child domain structure in Endpoint Protection Manager

Issue/Introduction

You have synchronized the AD structure of parent domain ( example parent domain : abc.com) and child domain (child domain : child.abc.com) into Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM). You were able to import the parent domain complete organizational unit (OU) structure, but when you try to import the complete organizational unit for child domain you get error message as "abc or it's child already exists".

Cause

It is not recommended to import the entire organizational unit structure of active directory into SEPM.

Resolution

After you have imported the organizational unit structure of parent domain, while importing the organizational units from child domain please select specific OU that you want to import and you will be able to import it into Symantec Endpoint Protection Manager (SEPM).
