Issue/Introduction

If you are running   Repository For z/OS Exchange for DB2 and using a Dataset as the SYSIN for the VIEW step (DBXCATV) program, the step may end with a CC=4 and the output contains messages like:

*** AN SQL ERROR HAS OCCURED IN THE MESSAGE MODULE ***
SQLCODE: -991
SQLERRM: 000C.00F30006.
STATEMENT: 0001

Resolution

This occurs if the LRECL of your input dataset is not 80 bytes. Anything greater than 80 bytes results in SQLCODE -991 errors because the spaces after the 80 bytes are taken to be the DB2 subsystem id by the DBXPRMS program.
