Issue/Introduction

DBUTLTY COMM OPTION=EOJ cannot be used to stop the shadow MUF. This article explains how the Shadow MUF can be stopped.

Environment

Release : 15.1

Resolution

Run modify command /F yourmufjob,EOJ against the shadow MUF or run z/OS stop command /P yourmufjob.

According to the EOJ documentation , the MUF supports being terminated as an orderly EOJ by supporting the z/OS command STOP P or when a /P is performed . MUF recognizes the STOP request and executes the EOJ.

Additional Information

When using a z/OS STOP , MUF log shows :

DB01311I - COMM EOJ (USING MVS STOP 'P')   

DB01335I - CONSOLE SCHEDULED - COMM EOJ (USING MVS STOP 'P')
