Purpose of Oracle Home Path

Issue/Introduction

Noticing during the installation of CA Service Desk Manager with an Oracle MDB that the Oracle Home Path is NOT a required field in the Database Configuration screen.  What purpose does this field serve and can it be ignored?

Environment

CA Service Desk Manager 17.3 and 17.4

Resolution

This field should be populated with the location of your 64 bit implementation on the SDM Server, usually the client install, and will be needed when you are running pdm_configure.
