Issue/Introduction

At the execution of CAMASTER these messages are displayed:

CCSEJPI - Recovery init complete.
CCSEJPI0 - CCS SAF SERVICE INIT STARTED.
CCSEJPI0 - IEANTRT rc=4, ejsvt=0x00000000
CCSEJPI0 - Initializing CCS SAF SERVICE
CCSEJPI - Recovery deleted.
CCSEJPI0 - CCS SAF SERVICE INIT COMPLETE. RC=0, RSN=0, s_flags=0x3E

Is there a problem because of the IEANTRT rc=4 message?

Environment

Release : 15.0

Cause

With CCS solution LU07249, a new component was introduced at CCS, it's called CCS SAF service..

CCS SAF Service provides a PC routine that supports the execution of SAF RACROUTE requests for APF and non-APF authorized callers.

The CAMASTER address space initializes the CCS SAF Service during IPL as part of CARIM initialization and is available for the lifetime-of-IPL.
Common Components and Services
delivers CCS SAF Service with the BASE Common Services installation package under FMID CAS9F00.

Resolution

These CCS SAF Service messages are normal startup messages.

The CCS SAF Service can be re-initialized post-ipl. Upon initialization, the service checks to see if it is already initialized on the system.
In this case, the RC=4 indicates that the service is not currently present on the system, and therefore the service will go through the first time initialization process, instead of re-initialization.

Additional Information

For additional information on the CCS SAF service check this chapter in the CCS 15.0 manuals:
