Uninstall / Reinstall does not allow us to enter install dir

Issue/Introduction

We uninstalled portal after the install was killed for unknown reasons and when we went to reinstall we could not enter our install directory, it just wanted to use /opt/CA

Environment

Dx NetOps Performance Management any version

Resolution

The /var/.com.zerog.registry.xml was not removed when the uninstall was run

Manually remove the file: 

/var/.com.zerog.registry.xml

 

... and restart the install

 

You should now have the option to choose the directory you want to install in

Additional Information

1. Delete /opt/CA/ directory

2. Delete /var/.com.zerog.registry.xml file

3. Reboot the Linux box, in case there is any hung process
