A few "Client Hello" packets remain unanswered on the API Gateway 10.1 CR02

Issue/Introduction

We have a strange behavior seen in our tcpdumps.

The client sends a "Client Hello" and can also be seen on the gateway in the tcpdump but there is no activity on the gateway side.
All other "Client Hello" around this "problem case" are looking ok and they get answered by the gateway with a "Server Hello".

The gateway is also not overloaded.

 

Environment

Release : 10.1

Resolution

This will be resolved in CR4 for gateway 10.1 , if needed there is hotfix available which can be requested from support 

This fix resolves an issue where the gateway does not respond to incoming requests due to nio thread exhaustion within tomcat.

Before applying the hotfix make sure you have a valid backup or snapshot of the gateway.

Please set the following CWP property which is new with this hotfix:

tomcat.nio.pollerThreadCount  value to 50

You need to restart the gateway to make this setting effective.
