CA RECEIVE ORDER : SMPE receive certificates

Issue/Introduction

Our SMPE receive certificate has been expired and I downloaded 3 certificates as before and passed them to our security department to install them.

Please explain how these certifications are used for user verification during CA RECEIVE ORDER processing.

I used the following URL and received 3 certificates: Obtain the Certificates for SMP/E Internet Service Retrieval

Release : 15.0

Resolution

• The certificate is used to validate that the customer is entitled to use the Broadcom order server.  The siteID is used to do this validation.  
• The certificate is not used to do any SSL handshakes to the servers.
• The user certificate is issued by CA Receive Order.  The Broadcom certificates issued are the same as used by the IBM user certificate generated by IBM to do the same process.
