Red Hat Linux Servers not showing in compliance reports

Issue/Introduction

A percentage of Red Hat Linux servers are not showing any compliance data. 

Verified that:

• PMImports are running successfully
• Software Update Plug-in is installed
• Systems are in a Software Update Plug-in policy
• Assessment scans are running successfully

Environment

Release : 8.x

Cause

In reviewing the reports, we found that the table Inv_Linux_Operating_System is used so as to display data only for appropriate systems.

When Symantec Management Agent inistally installs, it sends up data for this table. The missing servers in the compliance report did not have an entry in the table. 

Resolution

Ran this command on the missing systems using a script task:

• aex-invrulescollector --refresh
