Issue/Introduction

While installing Data Center Security (DCS) geting an error The package <SYMCsdcss> is currently installed on the sytem in the global zone. Manually remove https://knowledge.broadcom.com/external/article/211391 but didn't hep.

Resolution

Follow the below steps :

  1. Login as root user
  2. Commenting out the package name from below file and then try installation
  3. #  vim /var/fakeuser/install/gz-only-packages
  4. Comment SYMCsdcss package like below
  5. #SYMCsdcss
  6. Save and exit
