Issue/Introduction

The data engine probe is not connecting to the new database server after migration.

Environment

  • Release: 20.3
  • Database: MS SQL Server 2016->2019

Resolution

Post MS SQL Server DB migration from 2016 to 2019 the data_engine was not successfully connecting to the UIM database.

Cluster name was first used but cluster listener address was required.

The listener name is a special object to route traffic based on incoming query type.

Checked data_engine and hub settings which were correct and message throughput was excellent.
