Issue/Introduction

Having an issue with the z/OSMF install of Endevor v19. Completed all the steps in the deployment. When selecting the Workflow - received a message saying  that system xxxxxx.xx.plex-system.ORG couldn't be found.

What does that message mean and how can it be resolved

Resolution

The error  "The request failed because system ' xxxxxx.xx.plex-system.ORG " is not listed in the Systems Task" IZUD719E - is issued because the system is not found.   According to IBM Documentation - The request failed because the specified system definition could not be found in the Systems task. It might have been deleted or renamed.

The recommended steps to resolve the problem are to complete the following steps:

1.  To display a list of the system definitions that are defined in the System Task, expand the z/OSMF Settings category and click Systems. 

2.  Review the z/OSMF URL for each system definition to determine if a system definition exists for the z/OSMF instance to which you are trying to connect. 

3.  If a system definition exists for that z/OSMF instance, complete one of the following steps: 

a.  Modify the system definition and change its name to the name indicated in the message

b.  Use the new system definition name for all the deployments and global zones in the Software Management task that reference the old system definition name. 

4.  If no system definition exists for that z/OSMF instance, add a system definition to the list and use the name that is indicated in the message.  

5.  Try the request again.
