Issue/Introduction

Having changed the length of a compressed segment, a reload of the database using the new DBD is failing with the following errors:

+SHR015I segment REC DEFS IMPLY WRONG LENGTH                      
+SHR309I segment CHECK BYTE MISMATCH                              
+SHR320I - SEGM segment. SHRINK OR EXPAND ERROR

Cause

This combination of +SHR messages indicates a potential mismatch between the DBD and the FDT.

Resolution

You must create a new FDT for the new (changed) DBD. The new FDT must then be used together with the new DBD for the reload.
