Issue/Introduction

CENTOS Meta data import job Failing .

ERROR:

Failed to execute task: "Import Patch Data for CentOS"

 

Also when we run the channel import it shows the message channel import completed but the "Last run time" still shows the old date/ No change in "Last run time".

Environment

Release : 8.x

Cause

The customer manually moved files from the initial installation to another path. 

"Install Path" of ITMS in the below registry key was wrong.

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altiris

 

Resolution

Verify the correct Install Path as per the Environment to fix the issue.

1. In this case the " Install path" in the below registry  was set to " D:\Altiris"
   
   HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Altiris
   
   
2. Actual ITMS install path was  "D:\Altiris\" 
   It noticed that a missing trail backslash in the specified path. After correcting the ITMS install path in the registry mentioned above fixed the issue.

Note: A reboot may be required after fixing this registry key.
