User sees below messages with error code SARDRP02 occurring with SARFRDS file:

SARDRP02  Physical I/O error on "VIEW.SYSTEM1.SARFRDS.D0000307" -  ECB=42000000

Cause

An error occurred during Input and/ or Output of a forward recovery dataset.

Resolution

Restart forward recovery by recycling the archival task or by initiating a backup cycle.

Afterward the issue should be resolved.

Additional Information

If recovery fails, the SARDRP99 message indicates that forward recovery is disabled.
