IZUG1040E error message seen when trying to download Broadcom Portable Software Instance

Issue/Introduction

When going through the steps to Add a Portable Software Instance to z/OSMF for a Broadcom product, the following error is seen:

IZUG1040E   A secure connection to system system-name could not be established.

Why is this occurring?

Resolution

This error is not an issue connecting to the Broadcom downloads server, but an issue with z/OSMF being able to connect to the system. 

In this case, the URL for the system in z/OSMF was specified incorrectly. In the zOSMF browser, go to SYSTEM > Select the system > Select Actions - Modify and modify the URL to match the URL that z/OSMF is running on.   

Note: This error could also be the result of a certificate issue, but in this case the browser connection to z/OSMF was showing a secure connection and the system was the Primary Instance trying to communicate with itself which rules out certificate mismatch.
