admin password for Nexus Repository Manager

Issue/Introduction

What is the default admin password for nexus repository manager ?

How to change it ?

Environment

Release Automation 6.7, 6.8

Resolution

The default admin password for Nexus repository manager is : nolionolio

 

The default password could be changed with this method :

 

1- Open nexus repository web ui (http://<hostname>:<port>/nexus).

Ex: http://example:8080/nexus/

 

 

2- Click Login on the right top

 

Enter :

Username = admin

Password = nolionolio

 

 

And click Log in

 

 

Remark : 

 

If login fails with error "Incorrect username, password or no permission to use the Nexus User Interface. Try again. Please login before attempting further requests."

 

 

maybe password has already been changed.

If new password is not known it could be reset using the procedure described in this documentation :

3- Once logged, click on admin on the top right and select Profile

 

 

Then click on "Change Password" and change the password.
