Issue/Introduction

We have some servers that the cdm & other probes installed & monitoring the servers, we see the probes in the infrastructure manager view & we receive alerts from these probes. the data saves as QOS (I use grafana to get the reports from that QOS) but we cant see the installed probes in the operator console and cant create view from the metrics. the metrics not exist there. There are only few servers with this problem but they are critical & we need to show the reports on the servers health. os of two examples - AIX & linux.

Environment

  • Release: 20.4

Resolution

  1. Restart the robots on the AIX and Linux servers in question.
  2. Then restart the discovery_server and check the discovery_server logs for their hostnames/IPs for any errors/updates.
  3. After 20 mins or so, check the OC again for Metrics.
  4. Also please ensure you have the 'golden metrics' configured.
