Issue/Introduction

Service Desk Manager documents indicate that 'pdm_discimp' only imports Software Delivery assets but that does not appear to be the case. Which assets does pdm_discimp -r import into Service Desk Manager?

Service Desk Manager 17.x

Resolution

The pdm_discimp command searches assets in the ca_logical_asset table in the MDB and gets ALL distinct Logical Assets including those which are not part of Service Desk. i.e. Assets in the MDB database that are discovered using the Discovery software of e.g. DSM or NSM.
