Dynamic Capacity Intelligence

Issue/Introduction

After having swapping back the whole Mainframe environment from a Disaster Recovery (DR) site, the Dynamic Capacity Intelligence (DCI) Agents stopped executing the HMC commands that the DCI Controller correctly issued.

The DCI policies were updated to reflect the correct CPC, LPAR and SYS names.

Environment

Release : 2.0

Component: Dynamic Capacity Intelligence (DCI)

Cause

The DCI System Definition Table still shows the CPC, LPAR and SYS names of the DR site.

Resolution

When moving from the Disaster Recovery site to the normal one (or vice versa), along with the policies definition, the System Definition Table must be updated too, to reflect the correct CPC, LPAR and SYS names.

Additional Information

See "Configure BCPii Enabled Agents" or "Configure Dedicated BCPii Enabled Agents" for details about updating the System Definition Table
