An error is thrown when attempting to install a Protection Engine license: There are no assets to execute the request

Issue/Introduction

When attempting to install a license to a group via the Protection Engine 9 console an error box pops up with the following message:  There are no assets to execute the request

Environment

Release : 9.0.1

Cause

The attempt to apply the license is to a group that has no valid SPE servers added to it.  There must be at least one SPE server in a group or this error will be thrown.

 

Resolution

Select the "Scanners" button and expand the group previously selected and verify if there is at least one server listed under it.
