Issue/Introduction

Please confirm if below mentioned Java packages are associated to DX UIM?

In other words, DX UIM having any dependency on these?

Java SE Development Kit 8 Update 162

Java 8 Update 73

Java SE Development Kit 7 Update 79

Java 7 Update 79

Java SE Development Kit 8 Update 73

Java 8 Update 191

Above question arises because a customer who asked to remove these above packages from the Nimsoft hub servers.

If we remove these packages what impact would there be on the Nimsoft application?

Resolution

UIM uses its own versions of Java_JRE that are under /opt/nimsoft/jre or C:\Program Files (x86)\Nimsoft\jre.

UIM does not use any Java installed in the OS and will not be impacted by uninstalling the OS versions of Java.
