OWB or MSP displays an unknown login error

Issue/Introduction

Description:  
When trying to launch a plan in Open WorkBench (OWB) or Microsoft Project (MSP), an error message saying "Unknown login error" appears on the screen and then prompts the user to enter their password. The setup box is disabled along with the user ID field. A valid password was entered and the error appears again.

Resolution

The CA PPM System Application (CSA), Application field [Scheduler Entry URL] is either blank, populated with a space or not pointing to the correct CA PPM Application server.

In the CSA, go to the Application page.
Enter the correct Application server in the Scheduler Entry URL field

Example:
http://192.0.2.1:80 where 192.0.2.1 is the IP address of the CA PPM Application Server and 80 is the port number. 

If does not solve issue restart the application service and try to launch the project again.
