Customer patched the Oracle client, but the patching process failed. To remediate the issue, both the Oracle client and BSI applications were reinstalled by performing the steps shown below.
- Deinstalled CA Business Service Insight through Windows Apps&Features/Remove
- Deinstalled Oracle client and ODAC(Oracle Data Access Components) components according Oracle instructions
- Reinstalled Oracle client and client patch and ODAC(Oracle Data Access Components) components according Oracle instructions successfully
- Installed CA Business Service Insight according to documentation - no observed errors.
However, when launching the BSI website from the URL, the following error message is generated:
Release: 8.3.5.5
ODAC(Oracle Data Access Components) components' new release also varies with the Oracle client patch version (please see the Oracle link provided in the Additional Information section below).
