SSH session not working via PAM VIPs

Issue/Introduction

We are not able to connect to any devices using ssh protocol (using either the Applet nor TCP/UDP services) while the PAM Client is connecting to a Load Balanced address but does work if connected directly through the appliance IP/Name

Environment

Release : 4.x

Cause

Client had setup the f5 LB VIP with an http profile which effectively filtered the ssh protocol tunneled through to PAM.

Resolution

Client had to remove the http profile in their f5 configuration for the PAM VIP to allow ssh protocol to be tunnelled through the PAM appliance
