You Must Include an Object Type Column Error When Importing Test Case

Issue/Introduction

When trying to import test cases in Rally I get the following error:

"You must include an object type column"

Environment

Release : SAAS

Cause

Test case imports need a column titled Object Type. Entries in this column determine if the row is for a test case or a test step

Resolution

The error is referring to a column labeled Object Type. The values for that column indicate whether the entry is for a Test Case or a Test Case Step. To resolve the error add the column and enter the applicable value. Before importing test cases its recommend that you first download the example template available after clicking the Import Test Cases button.
