After upgrade to Java 8 reinstall of Tomcat receives errors in APPLY

Issue/Introduction

After installing Java 8 from z/OS ServerPac which should include the standard package, reinstalled TOMCAT from the CCS 15 base package and receiving the following errors when executing the APPLY job (AW030APB):

 Exploding all components of /usr/cai/CCS15/CA/TOMCATJR using jar command

 Error: Unable to create iprofiler thread
 JVMJ9VM019E Unrecoverable error: Unable to find and initialize required class j
 JVMJ9VM023I This may indicate that JAVA_HOME is incorrect, or that class libraries are not installed
 ** jar command failed with status 1
 Exiting TOMCATSH script with status 1
 

 

Environment

Release : 15.0

Cause

The MAXASSIZE value specified BPXPRMxx was set to 2147483647  However, the ASSIZEMAX in the OMVS segment could not be increased to the same value due to internal security settings 

Resolution

Increase the region on the jobcard and the apply step to 6M
