Is there any impact if the out-of-the-box Notification Method "Notification" is inactivated?

Issue/Introduction

I would like our end users not to use the Notification Method "Notification". Is it possible to inactivate the method "Notification"? If yes, does it impact to other functionalities if it is inactivated?  

Resolution

There is no impact if you inactivate the Notification Method "Notification". After you disable the method, users cannot select the Method "Notification" in the Manual Notify. However, if it is specified as the Notification Method of a Contact/Group already, it will continue to be used even after it is inactivated. Please ensure to change the Notification Method of Contacts/Groups to another one after it is inactivated if it is specified as their Notification Method.
