How do we set the SSH timeout on putty and the server?

Resolution

On the client configuration of SSH to the host really you just need to setup your client (Putty) Session well.

If you set your seconds between keep alive to 60 instead of the default of 0 the putty session remains open for much longer then the short session you may be  seeing.
