I have a dashboard with a gauge widget that is connected to a QoS metric datasource.
When hovering over this gauge, the last update time shows the current date and time (within a couple minutes).
However, I noticed that this metric is not being collected anymore due to a problem with the probe that collects it.
When I go into the QoS datasource to check the metric I can see that the most recent value is actually older than the above time:
Why does the gauge show the updated time/date if the data is old?
This is working as designed; the "Last Update" time on the widget shows the last time the data was successfully queried from the backend; this is to help the end-user understand whether information on the dashboard is actively updating or has been disconnected from the backend database.
Working as Designed - confirmed with Development.
