Issue/Introduction

Upgrading Cobol and need to know if there are any compatibility issues.   Do any PTFs need to be applied?

Resolution

Librarian has no dependencies on COBOL and does not deal directly with the Cobol Compiler.

 

There are no compatibility issues between Librarian and any version of COBOL.

 

There are no PTFs required and there is nothing that has to be updated in Librarian for a COBOL upgrade.
