SOI REST API vs. SOI GUI alert count are different

Issue/Introduction

We have noticed that there is a difference in the alert counts of a particular alert queue between the SOI GUI and SOI Rest API calls.

For example, if at the same moment, we see the alert count of "All_Alerts" queue but when we pull the alerts for the same queue suing Rest API the nuumber are usually different.

Why is this occurring?

Release : SOI 4.2

Cause

Rest API does not consider maintenance mode

Resolution

The difference between the alerts shown in the alarm queue vs the alarms pulled from the API Rest call is given because the alert queues exclude alerts from ci's that are in maintenance mode. While Rest API will pull all alerts, including the ones that are in maintenance mode. 

This is working as designed.
