ORA-20102: User, batch as BANWORX, is not authorized to access

Issue/Introduction

A Banner RA job can abort with the following error message in the .log file.

Exception in thread "main" java.sql.SQLException: ORA-20102: User, batch as BANWORX, is not authorized to access GLBDATAJ.

Environment

Release : 9.4 with Banner RA Agent

Cause

In this example, BANWORX does not have the required permission in Banner to run the job. Note: it is the user after the word "as" that is missing the security.  

Resolution

Confirm that the user running the job (ie. BANWORX) has been granted security classes (on GSASECR in Banner). This will need to be done for all the jobs that will be run from Applications Manager.
